A Little Information About Our Club

The Kiwanis Club of Riverside is an organization made up of men and women who have made a commitment to give back to our community. Our members contribute thousands of dollars and donate thousands of man-hours each year to make a difference in many peoples lives.

The links in the navigation bars will take you to several pages that tell our story. You will be able to take a look at the long history of our club, some of our clubs accomplishments and projects since our club received its charter in 1921. You will also be able to see who our distinguished Past Presidents have been and some of the external offices of Kiwanis that have been held by our members. Check out our committee pages to see how we have structured ourselves.

Provident Bank's foursome includes friends Larry Zahn and Bruce Bennett, along with President Craig Blunden and CFO Donavan Ternes.

The Kiwanis Club of Riverside held their 29th Annual BMW of Riverside 200 for Youth Golf Tournament on Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Victoria Club in Riverside, California. With BMW of Riverside back as our title sponsor, and recurring sponsors like Community Care and Rehab Center, HUB International, and Provident Bank, we were able to raise more than $20,000 for important children's programs in our community. We partnered with the YMCA of Riverside to provide scholarships to summer camp for underserved children.

With the tournament funds, the Kiwanis Club of Riverside will also fund educational and teacher support materials at Longfellow Elementary School and provide support and maintenance for the Boy Scouts Scout House on Texas Avenue.

Thank you to major prize sponsors Bud Luppino, Bud's Tires & Wheel; Ahern, Adcock & Devlin; Mark Easter, Best Best & Krieger and Dwight Tate, Waddell & Reed, Anthony's Cyclery andBrad Alewine.

Thank you to Anheuser Busch for the beverages provided on the course and to John Perrone Jr. from D'Elia's Grinders for the fabulous lunch before the tournament.

Together we created a terrific fundraiser that supports growth and recreational opportunities for Riverside's young people.

Kathy Barr of AT&T put together a foursome including Zee Beard of Riverside Personnel, Barbara Barrow of American Red Cross and Debra Harlowe. Together these ladies golfed with Kevin Mackey. Craig Blunden, Provident Bank, won Closest to the Pin on Hole# 5 and receives $50 in prize money from emcee & honorary co-chair, Bruce Bennett. Phil Rizzo of Premier Service Bank put together the winning foursome of Ken Rivers, David Espinosa, Phil, and Mike Donovan.. This is their third victory in a row!
