Statement of Purpose
"The Kiwanis Club of Riverside Endowment
Fund is a repository for gifts from the members and others to
perpetuate the Club's commitment to community service. Gifts
to the Endowment will include outright and planned gifts and
all undesignated gifts to the Kiwanis Club of Riverside"
Investment Policy
The Kiwanis Club of Riverside Endowment Funds are invested
with The Community Foundation.
Spending Policy
The following guidelines will be
used to prioritize funding requests that are presented:
- Funds for distribution allocated by The
Community Foundation annually will be available to
perpetuate the Club's community service mission.
- Funds will be distributed on a grant
basis.
- "Requests for Funds" forms will be
available from the Endowment Chairperson, any committee
member or the Secretary of the Kiwanis Club of
Riverside on or after January 2 of each year.
- The deadline for receipt of those written
"requests" will be April 1 of each year.
- Requests will be considered by the
Committee and recommendations will be made to the Board for
final approval.
- Consideration may be given to both new or
existing programs or projects of interest to Kiwanis
requiring financial assistance with special consideration
for requests by Kiwanis Club of Riverside committees.
- The Board of Directors will not be under
any obligation to spend money unless it decides a program is
worthy of expenditure.
- Funds may be distributed on or about June
1 of each year.
- The Endowment may choose to recommend
funding of a program in partnership with other funding
sources to maximize the effectiveness of the grant. Programs
of this nature will be given special consideration.
