A Little Information About Our Club
The Kiwanis Club of Riverside is an
organization made up of men and women who have made a
commitment to give back to our community. Our members
contribute thousands of dollars and donate thousands of
man-hours each year to make a difference in many peoples
lives.
The links in the navigation bars will
take you to several pages that tell our story. You
will be able to take a look at the long history of our club,
some of our clubs accomplishments and projects since our
club received its charter in 1921. You will also be able to see who our
distinguished Past Presidents have been and some of the
external offices of Kiwanis that have been held by our
members. Check out our committee pages to see how we hav
structured ourselves.
| For 20 years, the Kiwanis Club of Riverside has sponsored the holiday program at Longfellow Elementary School. Each year, the Club buys and wraps gifts for 2 students (one boy and one girl) from each classroom who are selected based on improvement in grades or behavior. Other gifts are distributed by "Santa" played by past Club president Doug Shackelton at a holiday assembly. The club members also purchase packaged food and fresh chicken from Stater Bros Markets which they unload, box and distribute to 100 families after school ends. |
